Job Summary This role includes all services residential, with the primary focus around Business Services provided by Comcast in the Columbus Blvd footprint of Philadelphia, PA. Job Description • Perform all duties in the Installer Tech Job Description. • Install cable modems, routers, commercial routers and EMTAs for CHSI and CDV services. • Connect cable modem/EMTA. Modify PC/software configuration to establish connectivity and proper orientation. • Troubleshoot service problems from the Modem/EMTA to the tap and all other Comcast products including the customer’s PC relevant to both hardware, software, coax cable, CAD and twisted pair wiring. • Ability to troubleshoot, install and demonstrate printers, photocopiers, web cams and digital cameras. • Demonstrate and explain cable modem and EMTA operation, network software, Comcast Online services, VOD, HDTV, Digital Cable and Voice to the customer. • Perform traditional cable installations and services calls including VOD, HDTV and Digital installations. • Ability to replace a tap plate. • Interface CDV with alarm systems and intercoms. • Install various size CAD wiring, twisted pair, phone jacks and Ethernet hard lines. • Toning out of phone lines and alarm wires and replace as necessary. • Perform NIC (Network Interface Card), CHSI software installation and memory upgrades on customer PC’s. • Perform advance wallfish installations. • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor in other to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
