Job Summary The Senior Captain is qualified as Pilot-In-Command (PIC) for multiple corporate aircrafts and has extensive international experience beyond Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The Senior Captain performs a variety of business duties/decisions to ensure safety, security and seamless operation of Company's corporate flights. This position reports to the Chief Pilot/Assistant Chief Pilot. Job Description Core Responsibilities Responsible for safe and efficient transport of passengers and crew. Communicates (phone, e-mail) with Flight Operations and Chief Pilot/Assistant Chief Pilot (as needed) throughout the trip to ensure all parties are aware of any changes that may occur Maintains fiscal responsibility for fuel, catering, aircraft services expenses and personal travel expenses Responsible for supervision of other crew members and Flight Attendant while on assigned trip Ensures the aircraft assigned is airworthy and all required documents are on board Ensures crew have their valid and required documents (passport, license, medical, etc.) Ensures flight that he/she is assigned are operated in accordance with the Comcast FOM, applicable CFRs and aircraft AFM Ensures that all flight planning requirements have been met to include: checking weather, NOTAMS, TFR’s, fuel planning, weight and balance and flight planning. Contingency planning in the event that a flight cannot be completed as planned because of weather or mechanical issues Encourages and participates in an active Safety Management System Shows leadership characteristics through mentoring, self-starting and creates a positive work environment consist with Comcast’s core values Performs additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot/Assistant Chief Pilot (i.e. Safety Manager, Training Coordinator, Training Captain) Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Has a minimum of 5,000 flight hours Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with Multi-engine rating and appropriate type ratings for aircraft operated Qualified to hold position of department Training Captain PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS Position requires sitting for extended periods Lifting up to 70 pounds is required on occasion NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS Rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call status are routine Extensive domestic and international travel is required Employees at all levels are expected to: Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job.
