Job Summary The SDWAN Architecture and Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing SDWAN solutions for Comcast Business customers. The engineer will work with sales teams and customers to understand their networking needs, create design proposals, and manage the deployment of SDWAN solutions. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and to support the growth of Comcast's SDWAN business. Job Description Core Responsibilities • Design and implement SDWAN solutions for Comcast Business customers. • Work with sales teams, solution architects and customers to understand their networking needs to design, document and implement customer pilots and provide support for customer testing as required while in the pilot phase of the sales process. • Manage the deployment of SDWAN solutions, including hardware installation and configuration. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support the growth of Comcast's SDWAN business. • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technologies related to SDWAN. • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians. Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities: • Experience with Cisco SDWAN solutions is highly preferred. • Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, VPN, QoS, and other networking technologies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. • CCNP, JNCIP, FNCSP(NSE4), CCVP, CCSP Certification or equivalent on-the-job experience considered • Strong working knowledge of various Vendor routers, switches, firewalls and wireless devices to include; Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, Aerohive, Airtight and Cradlepoint • Strong understanding of networking technologies to include : o MPLS, Frame-Relay, PPP, ISDN, T1 o High Availability protocols such as; HSRP, VRRP, GLBP o IP Routing protocols to include; RIPv1, RIPv2, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, Policy Routing o Tunneling protocols to include; GRE, IPSec, DMVPN, IWAN o QOS, Traffic Policing and Shaping o ACLs, AAA, TACACS+, RADIUS, SNMP, DHCP o Switch VLANs, VTP, STP o VoIP, SIP and PRI trunking o Wireless Networking • Understanding of VoIP, SIP and PRI voice technologies • Understanding of various network tools to include WhatsUp Gold, SolarWinds Orion, Cisco CCE, Cisco Prime, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Wireshark or Netscout • Understanding of various compliance requirements, to include, but not limited to, PCI, DSS, HIPAA, SOC a plus Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing networking solutions, including SDWAN. • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are highly preferred. • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Relevant Work Experience 5-7 Years Salary: National Pay Range: $78,774.12 USD-$184,626.83 USD Additional Range: This job can be performed in Colorado with a Pay Range of $98,467.64 - $155,086.54 Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
