Job Summary The Manager of Business Development, Strategic Development will be responsible for supporting the Business Development team in its mission to source, develop, execute, and manage new partnerships to drive growth, capabilities, and other strategic objectives of Comcast Cable. Business Development focuses on partnerships that support the core and adjacent businesses within Comcast Cable including High Speed Data, Video Entertainment, Telco/Wireless/Mobile, Advertising, and Platform Distribution, as well as opportunities that may crossover to other divisions of Comcast such as NBCU, Sky, and Spectator. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to support specific partnerships by working with multiple team members, identifying the needs and opportunities, performing market and financial analysis and prepare and manage issue lists, term sheets, and deal summaries. Job Description Job Description: The Manager, Business Development will play a key role in supporting and evaluating a wide spectrum of new partnerships for Comcast. This role will have a particular focus on new opportunities in the data ecosystem, including broadband access, cybersecurity, and enterprise cloud, and in the venture capital, private equity, and startup tech ecosystems for deal flow. This individual will identify key strategic and operational impact of proposed partnerships and develop the business case with financial analysis and support the navigation of partnerships to execution. At every step, this individual will work closely with the business units. The successful candidate must possess superior analytical skills related to business development, an understanding how to operationalize opportunities and effectively communicate to broader internal audiences. The ability to navigate matrixed organizations with judgement, humility, and self-awareness will be important as well as an unending desire to learn and grow with Comcast. Core Responsibilities: · Analyze and assess emerging strategic opportunities, and recommend partnership opportunities · Build financial models and business cases to evaluate partnerships and assess economic impact · Participate in due diligence on strategic initiatives and potential partnerships and drive deal flow · Build relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts across functions and business units · Prepare C-level presentations highlighting actionable recommendations · Actively support team members with deal negotiation and management including maintaining all deal documentation including term sheets, long form agreements, technical documentation, and issue lists · Develop an understanding of Comcast’s business strategy, operations, products, and industry trends · Other duties and responsibilities as assigned · Must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary and across U.S. time zones Qualifications: · 5-7 years of relevant work experience with a preference for software, banking, and investment sectors · Bachelor’s Degree · Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills · Excellent organizational, financial, interpersonal and communication skills · Curious, creative, and open-minded with broad interest in technology, media, and telecommunications Employees at all levels are expected to: Understand our Operating Principles; make them the guidelines for how you do your job.
